The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority has received a single proposal for a large parcel of land in Boston’s South End, bordering on the Chinatown neighborhood. Boston Residential Group’s proposal is made up mainly of housing units, including a 67 floor tower which would include 1,700 condominiums. In addition, the new community would feature 2,000 parking spaces, retail facilities, a library and a park. The so-called “Gateway Center” addresses the critical need for housing in the area according to Boston Residential Group CEO Curtis Kemeny.
